When Rita was in town a couple of months ago, we went to Babycakes and I noticed the cute place next door.  While outside, checking the menu, Allan, the owner, came to the door to greet us with a big smile.  I got a really good vibe off of him and the place,  I made a mental note to come back another time to try it.

La Barra Cevicheria is a cute little place in the heart of the Lower East Side, on Broome between Ludlow and Orchard.  It’s not too far from Happy Ending, so Viviane and I went after the recent Pleasure Salon evening.  They gave us  some black bean mole with hand-made tortilla chips to start.  We shared three plates: Chipotle Scallops Ceviche, a Yelowtail tuna with chipotle mayo, avocado and pico de gallo Tostada, and Chicken mole Tamales.  All were very tasty!  We would definitely go back.

Last week, John Weis hosted a party at his home for Christine Quinn.  I like Chistine very much and believe that, for the most part, she has the best interests of New Yorkers like me in mind.  She’s not perfect and we do not agree on everything, but we agree on enough issues that I support her.
