20 inches of Snow and Making Summer Plans

December 28th, 2010 · No Comments

NYC just got hit with 20 inches of snow and what am I doing? I am planning my fun for the summer! And summer 2011 is starting to look kinda crazy!

In addition to some great events out west, like Shibaricon in Chicago and Thunder in Denver, I’ll be going to three events at Ramblewood.

I have never missed a Leather Retreat event since it started in 1998. I love this event because I get such a feeling of community and the freedom to play outside however and whenever I want to. I am also going to LR’s sister event, Summer Camp which I also the for the same reasons but also because it is such a safe space for queers and people who are different.

I am also going to a new event: FetFest. It is a very affordable weekend event at Ramblewood in Maryland during Labor Day weekend. Registration rates start at $99 for the entire weekend. This includes world class education, great vending and over 70,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor Dungeon space. You can choose to camp in a tent, stay in a cabin onsite or in a hotel nearby, or you can just go home! You can bring your own food, get a meal plan or buy food from the food trucks. It’s going to be a huge event!

I am very excited with how my summer is shaping up so far. See my updated teaching schedule.

Whether you’re looking for hot steamy smut, thought-provoking opinions or expert information, you’re going to find it here. Want to be included in e[lust] #22? Start with the rules, check out the schedule and subscribe to the RSS feed for updates!

Important e[lust] update: e[lust] will be going on hiatus for the holidays. The editions for November and December would both occur around the holidays and I know I’ll be short on both submissions and judges as well as personal time. e[lust] #22 will return in January, with ample advance warning, so please make sure you’re subscribed for updates!

~ Featured Post (Lilly’s Pick) ~

D/s Without the D/s?This is one of those situations in a real time D/s relationship where much of the “fun” aspects of the D/s needs to be stuffed in the closet for a bit. And for us, it’s not a great time to be either a masochist or a sadist. We can deal with that.

Yes, Jelly Sex Toys Can be DangerousEven if a jelly rubber toy says “phthalate-free”, it still can contain toxic chemicals that can cause skin reactions in some people. These toys are still non-porous and can harbor dirt and bacteria because they cannot be sanitized.

~ This Week’s Top Three Posts ~

Unfortunately, this edition has no Top Three picks as I didn’t have enough volunteer judges. If you’d like to volunteer to help, visit this page to find out more info and ensure that the Top Three picks continue.

All blogs that have a submission in this edition must re-post this digest from tip-to-toe on their blogs within 7 days. Re-posting the photo is optional and the use of the “read more…” tag is allowable after this point. Thank you, and enjoy!

Big Week at TES

December 21st, 2010 · No Comments

Tonight (Tuesday) is the annual TES Holiday Potluck Social.  I’ll be Lolita Claus. Nayland and Pete will be my elves.  If you bring a gift (maximum price $15.00), we will make sure you get one in return. There will be plenty of good food and good friends to help make this celebration special. Remember, if you bring a donation of food for the party, admission is free. We would rather that you bring food than pay at the door.  Chips don’t count. And when in doubt, don’t bring dessert because we always have so much dessert.

And tomorrow night (Wednesday) is the THE TES Bondage SIG with Parker aka Ropeboi teaching  “Tying as a Service.”  Tying bodies in bondage is often called “rope topping,” but what about when the person tying is not the one running the scene? Parker introduces and
demonstrates a variety of ways in which riggers can be involved in scenes in which they tie but are not the primary authority or decision-maker.

Both events are at 260 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor. Doors open at 7:30 pm. Members $4, Students with ID $4, Other fetish group members $4, Non-Members $8.  More info at TES.

See you there!

Photos from Anti-Censorship Protest

December 20th, 2010 · No Comments

We gathered at the steps of the Metropolitan Museum.

There were some really great posters.

And some other really great expressions.

We marched up 5th Avenue.

We were a chanting, yet peaceful, crowd of about 500 at the Cooper-Hewitt.

The protest was organized by ART+.

For more coverage, photos and links, check out Hyperallergic.

Video by the National Coalition Against Censorship.

Also see the SVA’s Continuing Education Blog for photos including a photo of me and Nayland!

Int’l Little Miss Littles Charity Fundraiser

December 12th, 2010 · 1 Comment

As you may or not know, I have been working at Purple Passion part time. And I love working there!

Recently, I won the “International Little Miss Littles” title. One thing that titleholders do is pick a cause. I have decided to team up with Purple Passion and U.S. Marines’ Toys For Tots. And this year we are sweetening the deal.

Bring an unwrapped toy for a child (2 months to 17 years old) and Purple Passion will give you a vibrator (while supplies last). Or, if you bring a toy and spend over $100 in the shop, we will give you an extra 10% discount. Yes, you can combine this with any other offer or use it on sale items. That means that if you are a member of a group like TES or LSM, you get your 10% discount plus another 10% making it a whopping 20% off!

We are also taking cash donations. Every year Hilton goes out to buy toys wholesale. For a minimum $10 cash donation, we’ll also give you that 10% discount.

This program expires December 20. Happy Holidays!

My First Title

December 9th, 2010 · 1 Comment

I competed for the International Little Miss Littles title at Kinky Kollege in Chicago. There were seven contestants and they were all very good. The judges were Hardy Haberman, Master Z Dallas and IML 2010 Tyler McCormick.

The first part of the contest was Modeling. The stage had a long runway and the crowd was overflowing into the hallway (the crowd was estimated at 170). I had some trepidation at first but finally came out in my new pink party dress. My stuffed bear (Bebe) had a matching dress. We paraded and I curtsied at the end of he runway. The audience made me feel good.

The second part of the contest was Talent. My talent was having a perfect tea party. My bear underwent a costume change and wore his leather harness, collar, jock and wrist restraints. I brought him and my Dolly on stage with me. Rita Seagrave is my Dolly. She wore pigtails with big bows, a little white lace shirt and jeans rolled up to reveal striped socks. I set up my tea party, but every time I turned my back, Rita picked her nose. She would not stop. She was very bad. So I spanked her!

The last category was the pop question. This was the most scary because there is no way to prepare for it. My question was, “Can you sing your ABC’s?” I started off great, but soon got mixed up with LA&M and NCSF. Oops!

But somehow the judges voted and I won! Now I am a sash queen!

Street Art in Paris

November 25th, 2010 · 2 Comments

I’m in Paris with Peggy aka O, my ex-girlfriend. I’m here for eight nights. I’ve been posting updates and photos to my Twitter.  We’ve been shopping, sightseeing and eating with friends. Tonight we are having a traditional non-Thanksgiving dinner of oysters and lobster with her folks.

This photo is of some neat street art that I spotted. What’s really cool is that I found the Streetcolor blog associated with it!
