I loathe the word “Domme.” It’s not even a real word. Because somewhere along the way dominant became a noun instead of an adjective. And then it became capitalized. And then it was shortened to Dom. And then a female version was created and that was Domme. Like as if it’s diminutive or French. It seems to have originated from the internet.

But what is most irritating of all is when somebody actually says the word out loud and pronounces it Dom-may (accent on the second syllable). It’s like they are pronouncing it in French, but nobody who really speaks French would ever pronounce it that way because the last syllable is supposed to be silent.

As soon as that word is uttered, my brain can’t hear anything else that person is saying. It can only focus on my revulsion of that word. I loathe that word.
