LOLITA’S HOLIDAY TRIP TO FLORIDA
This year we were truly a full house. I was the first to arrive on Christmas Eve at the home of FifthAngel and slave leslie where my girlfriend Peggy O also resides. The next evening Teresa showed up and that was a big surprise for Peggy and me. Neptune showed up on the 28th.
Teresa has a new relationship (not saying with whom – this is not a gossip column). Anyway, her new flame is a switch and Teresa needs some new topping skills. She asked me to teach her some rope. I decided that each day I would teach her something new – that way she would master each item without it all becoming a blur. It would be “Lolita’s Rope Tutorial Series.” We did single column ties, double column ties, double column spreader ties, hitches and harnesses. Teresa did a lot of practicing . She tied up FifthAngel and, then when Neptune got there, she tied him up. That boy had never been tied up that much in one week.
New Year’s Eve was celebrated with a Wild West theme (last year was ice). We started with a 10am trail ride. We then went shooting at a gun range. My favorite is a Revolver. Later in the evening, we went to a steakhouse for dinner and then off to a country western bar where they had a mechanical bull and dancing. A lot of fun was had, but then I had a huge fight with Neptune. Well, it shows that my life is not always perfect. And also, that there is no way to go this year except better than that.

BOSTON AND THE FLEA
Boymeat and I drove up to Boston. We took Bad Faggot with us. We enjoyed the addition – he is an amusing conversationalist and a considerate traveling companion. We were all checked in and settled in by 11pm – too late to go out but we did sit up and talk until about 2am. Boymeat and I were both teaching first class at 11am, so we got up with coffee and Bad Faggot took the morning caning. You don’t have to hit him very hard to make him yelp.
I taught Mummification. Bad Faggot helped me to wrap Sarah J in lots of Saran and pallet wrap and vet wrap and duct tape and we just let her stew. Then I slipped a tubular chair shroud over him and had him lay on the table. I secured the shroud with duct tape and left him to wiggle. I went back to Sarah J and opened up some strategic holes. He spent the rest of the trip glowing about the chair shroud.

She was all nervous and blabbing about really wanting to do this and Albuquerque TNG and some fashion show and how she really wanted me to do this with me because I have this reputation blah blah blah. Rather than trying to get a word in edgewise and centering her, I just shot that needle right into her chest. Her eyes got huge and that sure as hell shut her up – for just a minute. She really liked it so I put another needle in.
I did not do too much shopping at the Flea – a few holiday presents (a book from KinkyBooks.com and a little something at Leather Creations). I thought the Boston Sheraton Hotel was a really nice place and the staff was very friendly to us. The facilities (classrooms and ballrooms) were spacious and in good shape. It’s really good to have a hotel that wants our business.

LOLITA & PEGGY IN NYC
Peggy O traveled from North Carolina to NYC with me. We did Thanksgiving with my family – pleasant company and good food. On Friday night, we had a date with Eve, who is one of the biggest pain sluts we know. Peggy worked her over psychologically before we even got to the city. Starting with emails and then one little terrifying phone call. Eve was good and scared. She was nervous when she met u with us for dinner. She ate lightly. We got to Paddles and it was hopping with people who needed a fix after the holiday. We found a good spot to play. We punched her and kicked her with our boots and caned her in tandem. At times we got into a good rhythm – the kind of rhythm that makes Eve come. Peggy has gotten real buff and can do push-ups on her knuckles. We beat her 360 degrees around her butt, the fronts of her thighs and the sides of her thighs. Afterwards we ate ice cream as a reward and to calm her down. Later we put her in a cab and laughed at how she would have a real tough time finding a comfortable position to sleep in.

LOLITA & PEGGY DO NORTH CAROLINA AND VIRGINIA
I met up with Peggy O on Friday night in Charlotte, NC. I taught CBT for CAPEX (http://www.capex.org) on Saturday. Dave, one of the local members was lined up as my bottom and he just about let me do anything to him. He was a real good sport. CAPEX is a really nice BDSM group. As a fundraiser, they raffled off a scene with me. A really great bottom won the raffle and we did a hot caning scene at the Saturday night party.
I also did a scene with Peggy – flogging, staples, single tail and fire. I left the staples in that night. The next day we worked out in the gym and she found the sweat to be very stingy. She then drove us 5 hours to Luray, VA with them in. LA&M CLOSES OUT BANNER YEAR
The Leather Archives & Museum concludes a milestone year, making history while preserving history, as the Chicago-based institution begins its fourteenth year.
By far the most dramatic news is the successful completion of the capital campaign which raised over $400,000 in less than seven years to buy the Museum’s home at 6418 North Greenview on Chicago’s near north side.
“Ownership of the building not only means the absence of rent or mortgage payments,” says Executive Director Rick Storer, “it is also proof of the permanence and viability of leather, fetish and BDSM culture.” A mortgage-burning celebration is being planned for Sunday, February 20, 2005.
Major acquisitions in the past year include the business records of New York’s L.U.R.E. bar and artwork by Steve Masters and Etienne. A special exhibit from the museum collections exhibited at the San Francisco Public Library and the LA&M was admitted into the Chicago Metropolitan Library system. The organization’s newsletter expanded to a quarterly magazine called “Leather Times” with feature articles, photos and exclusive content about leather history and culture.
The Leather Archives & Museum exists to compile, preserve and maintain the history, archives and memorabilia of leather and related lifestyles for historical, educational and research purposes. LEATHERFEST WEEK
I started my week with a trip out to Huntington to present my poly class at the Long Island Leather N Roses group. This is a very nice group of people who meet every Tuesday night. (See http://www.lilnr.org)
And then, it was bondage, bondage, bondage. On Wednesday November 10, I went to Midori’s Predicament Bondage workshop hosted by GMSMA. Every fall during Leatherfest week, both GMSMA and LSM open their meetings to all genders. Midori was educational and entertaining as usual. On Thursday, I rushed over to the Barbara Nitke opening. Her new work is absolutely magnificent. I just love the color work – it pops! LSM had their open meeting with Midori doing ” Hands-On Hand and Foot Bondage. I learned a bunch of tricks and tied up Michael’s hands in a prayer position. It immediately relaxed him and he was happy. On Friday night, AJ and I schlepped up to Newburgh to see Bridgett’s Asymmetrical Bondage class. This was also supposed to be hands-on but the space was very cold. I tied AJ to her chair while she was wearing her leather jacket.
On Saturday it was GMSMA Leatherfest at the Center. This is the biggest bargain in the scene at $10 for 5 classes, an art show and a vendor mart. I spent most of my time at the NCSF table selling raffle tickets for the Harley-Davidson. The rest of the time I taught a class and spent 10 minutes giving the art fair a cursory tour. Later that night LSM met up with the Butch Femme Group for Dinner at Café Buon Gusto. Afterwards we headed over to Paddles and caned AJ until she had nice big bruises.
On Sunday, it was Dim Sum in Chinatown and Rachel Kramer Bussell’s book signing at Suede. I flirted with lots of hot girls, had a free Cosmopolitan, ate a cupcake, bought Rachel’s spanking new book on spanking and AJ got spanked (but not hard enough!).

STALKERBOY’S BIRTHDAY

This is it, my last birthday in my 30’s. I am not all that happy about it despite my very young 20’s something co-workers telling me not to worry because “40 is the new 30, AJ”. I figured I should do something fun, So I called Lolita and invited myself to New York. Lolita said yes, so off I went.
Here is a quick run down of what we did. And we did do a lot.
On Friday night we went to a bondage workshop somewhere in New York. I don’t know where. It was really great except the room was freezing. Lolita tied me up over my leather jacket while my hands were in my pockets.
Saturday was GMSMA’s Leatherfest. That was a lot of fun as I got to be a demo bottom for Lolita’s sensory deprivation class. I was in my hood and my hands were covered. I fell asleep. I also got to be one of the demo bottoms for Jo Arnone’s flogging class. Saturday night was dinner and Paddles. Lolita caned me. Well, no, that doesn’t sound quite right. Lolita beat the shit out of me. And no, that is not a complaint. I still have the bruises and I am quite happy about it.
Sunday was Dim Sum. Now that was fun! Lolita and I met up with Boymeat, Luna, and Badfaggot. We ate a lot of food. Afterward we walked through Chinatown and other neighborhoods. At the end of the day Lolita and I went for manicures and pedicures. I got clear on my on my fingers and I got nightlife blue on my toes and had them do a topcoat with silver glitter polish. It looks way too cool. If you are wondering if this makes me less of a boy, no it doesn’t as I am pretty secure about myself and my boyness.
That’s a wrap up of what we did. But me being me, I also need to write about what I learned. I learned that I am a control freak. It is really hard for me to let go. It is so easy to bottom and say “Okay, you just be in charge” when the circumstances fit. What I learned is that it is really easy for me to submit when I actually feel like I can control something. Usually the hotel room or making sure Lolita gets to a class on time. In those circumstances I have a lot of information. I am in charge of something. When I don’t have information, I resist letting go and trusting that everything is cool. What I learned is that if I am going to write a contract, if I am going to wear Lolita’s collar, I also need to be open and trusting when there is no room to manage and no class to get to.
I have been bottoming to Lolita on various levels for over four years. In those fours years I have learned through our friendship and various aspects of D/s or play, that Lolita would never withhold information that would hurt me. Her ability to Top me as a play partner, to be Dominant to my submissive self and her friendship is a huge gift. She never falls short. I on the other hand fall short. I feel that I carry my weight in the friendship, and God knows I love to play but I feel like still have a lot to learn about completely letting go. I am so grateful that Lolita is patient while I figure these things out. I have a lot of commitments and goals for the up coming year. One of them is letting go and truly submitting to Lolita and not just paying lip service to the concept.

FEMALE SEXUALITY SURVEY CONDUCTED BY IPG
Many people in the scene are familiar with Dr Margie Nichols of IPG, a counseling and psychotherapy center that focuses its advertising to the LGBT and alternative lifestyle communities. IPG has created a survey to learn more about women’s sexuality. Wanting to have something to compare the results to, they asked women of all identities to fill out the survey. So far, they have gotten about 800 responses. Two papers have already been written based on the results and at least one other paper is planned and hopefully, the findings will be presented at conferences. The more women who fill out the survey, the better the findings will be. They are looking for women of all sorts. CINEKINK
I feel like such a slug. I spent so much time at the movies this past weekend. Why? It was Cinekink! Cinelink is the annual film festival in NYC that features SM, poly and other alternative lifestyles.
The kickoff party started with a live auction fundraiser at Remote Lounge. The beneficiary is a documentary about Barbara Nitke vs Ashcroft. I was the auctioneer. There were over 25 items for sale. Each one was numbered and each one had a corresponding number duct taped to Boymeat’s hairy body. So, anyone who won a bid for an item was able to come up to the stage and rip the duct taped number off of Boymeat. Each number hurt and many people were interested in hurting him. At the end, to satisfy the crowd, I put a big piece of tape across his chest and auctioned off the privilege of pulling it off. A woman bid $55 just to pull that piece off! It was amazing to see the lust in her eyes, and to see Boymeat doubling over in pain.
We spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the movies. We did not get to every showing but we did get to most of them. The fare ranged from really great to really awful. Really great were “Mango Kiss” and “Crossing” (in spite of the stupid FTM character). “Born In A Barn” was a fabulous documentary on pony play. I liked “Slaves,” but it seemed to confuse most of the audience who seemed to have a difficult time distinguishing that the film was not real. My award to the worst movie went to “Proinhibition” – the plot sucked, it wasn’t sexy, the sound quality was bad and it was boring. “My Leather Jacket” inspired me. It was a fun little documentary with terrible production values. I thought that if this is acceptable quality, then I might try my hand in making a movie, too. Anybody got a video camera??

NCSF CALL FOR ACTION
CUFF APPEAL TO THE IOWA BOARD OF REGENTS
Many in the SM-leather-fetish communities are familiar with the progress of the case concerning Cuffs. For those of you who aren’t, here is a short synopsis:
Cuffs is a student organization at Iowa State University, “an educational and social discussion group for people interested in BDSM, fetishes and other expressions of safe, consensual and non-exploitive human sexuality”. ISU found them guilty of assault for having a demonstration on safe SM practices – in this particular case, for demonstrating the safe zones for flogging on a fully-clothed individual.
In Iowa, assault has an exemption for “voluntary participants in a sport, social, or other activities.” The only time SM activities have been tested in the Iowa courts for falling under this exemption was in the 1985 case of State vs. Collier. In that case, a pimp beat up his prostitute and shot a gun at her because she had
stayed out all day with a client doing drugs and stiffed her pimp. The pimp claimed that the beating was a SM birthday present. The Iowa Court of Appeals decided, in a 3-1 vote, that the activity did not fall under the exemption for assault. However, the decision stated that the majority “believe it is more appropriate that its meaning be interpreted on a case by case basis” and that “the sadomasochistic activities involved in this case expose persons” to the unreasonable risk of serious injury. Just as importantly, it cited that the state’s responsibility in looking after the “moral welfare” of its citizens outweighed personal privacy rights – the exact argument recently overturned in Lawrence vs. Texas (Texas sodomy case).
At ISU, one person (Bethany Schuttinga, Director of Judicial Affairs for the university) served as investigator, prosecutor, judge and jury, and found Cuffs guilty of assault a process so inherently flawed that it has already come up for change this fall. The case has been winding its way through the appeals process,
and is scheduled to come before the Iowa Board of Regents at their Nov. 3 & 4 meeting. However, the Board of Regents does not have to even hear the appeal.
We are asking members of the Iowa SM-leather-fetish communities in particular, (though everyone is welcome) to write to the Board of Regents and ask them to hear this appeal and obviously to rule in our favor. Below are three sample letters to the Board of Regents, two of which have been written in such a manner that the person sending the letter would not be outing themselves.
Please take the time and effort to contact the Board of Regents in this cause. It will be most effective if you send in your letter with your full legal name and address, and if you personalize it a bit. Please send them in anytime up until the November 3rd date!

As an Iowa citizen and taxpayer, I have been appalled and outraged by the actions of the Iowa State University administration in regards to its investigation and probation of Cuffs, a student organization dedicated to the discussion of alternative sexuality. Bethany Schuttinga, Director of Judicial Affairs for the
university, served as investigator, prosecutor, judge and jury. Not surprisingly, the group was found guilty after being investigated, charged, and convicted by the same person. It is my understanding that the university judicial process has changed since the investigation, but this only emphasizes the unjustifiable nature of the decision reached regarding Cuffs.
I urge you to review this case and bring this matter to a just and fair end.

As a citizen of Iowa and a taxpayer, I urge you to review and overturn the suspension of Cuffs, an Iowa State University student organization dedicated to the discussion of alternative sexuality.
On November 10, 2003, members of Cuffs had a demonstration on safe practices used by people who practice an alternative sexuality called SM. The point of the demonstration was to educate the audience in how to use these techniques safely. The people involved were fully clothed and freely agreed to take part in the demonstration. Furthermore, no complaint was filed by anyone involved or present at the meeting.
After the student newspaper reported on the event, including a photo of the demonstration, the Office of Judicial Affairs decided to investigate. Charges were filed and Cuffs was put on probation after being found guilty of “assault”, because it was believed that there was an intent to cause pain an intent that the participants said was not there. Despite the fact that there are many student organizations on campus where there is an intent to cause pain (sports clubs, paintball, medieval combat), these activities are allowed to continue. The use of a twenty-year-old, tremendously dissimilar court case involving an abusive pimp and his prostitute to undermine the educational effort of Cuffs runs counter to everything an institution of higher learning should stand for.
Please review the case against Cuffs, and encourage education at Iowa State University.

I am a citizen and taxpayer of Iowa. I am also part of the approximately 10% of the population that enjoys a type of alternative sexuality known as SM.
I was very happy to find out that there was a student group on the Iowa State University campus called Cuffs that supported discussion and education into alternative sexuality. As with so many activities (for example, just about every sport or activity-related club at ISU), SM is a safe activity when practiced by participants who have been taught correct techniques. Indeed, a recent study showed that the most common injury among SM participants was sprained ankles – from wearing high-heeled shoes!
I was astonished to read that the ISU administration was investigating, charging, and then putting on probation a group that was merely educating its members in how to practice this form of alternative sexuality safely! I was even more shocked to read the rationale behind the decision. According to her statements, Ms. Bethany Schuttinga used a 20-some year old court case about a pimp beating up a prostitute, shooting at her with a pistol, and then later claiming it was consensual (the prostitute denied that it was consensual). While even that decision said that any future cases should not consider it to be definitive and that each case should be looked at on its own merits, Ms. Schuttinga decided to use it as the basis for deciding that Cuffs was guilty of assault – for someone showing how to swing a “flogger” safely onto someone who was fully clothed! Both parties said it was consensual (as did the audience), both parties said there was no pain intended or inflicted. However, Ms. Schuttinga (who acted as policeman, district attorney, judge and jury in the case!) somehow decided that there was pain intended and inflicted anyway. While I’m sure a simple experiment would have answered that question, I’m also equally sure that such experiment never occurred.
I respectfully request that the Board of Regents review this case and overturn the decision.

The National Coalition for Sexual Freedom is a national organization committed to creating a political, legal, and social environment in the United States that advances equal rights of consenting adults who practice forms of alternative sexual expression.
