NYC’s 24th ANNUAL LEATHER PRIDE NIGHT AUCTION

NEW YORK, NY April 2nd –The 24th annual Leather Pride Night Auction will take place on Saturday, June 16th, 2007. This year the festivities will be at Splash! at 50 W. 17th Street. This will be a new venue for the event, as the Roxy nightclub is being demolished. SPLASH!’s doors will open for LPN at 6:00 PM, and the auction will run from 7 PM until 10:00 PM. Liquor, beer, wine and soft drinks will be provided at a cash bar. Light finger food will be served. A sign language interpreter will be present during the non-auction segments of the evening. This year, as every year, there will be a team of bootblacks to keep your boots and shoes looking sharp. All tips go toward the event’s total for the beneficiaries. A very special silent auction is planned, but because of space concerns there will be no LPN flea market.
MC’s will keep the evening moving, directing attendees to the varying activities and announcing the opening and closing of the auction times. Jo Arnone, LPN’s veteran auctioneer, will preside over more than a hundred items being auctioned, including leather and latex fetish clothing, unique toys and equipment, art objects, Broadway theater tickets, and much more. This year’s event will be immediately followed by SPLASH!’s Saturday Fetish Dance. This event is free with an LPN ticket.
Leather Pride Night is sponsored by nine NYC S/m-leather-fetish organizations:

Over the years, Leather Pride Night has donated over $250,000 for local and national charities. This year, Leather Pride Night will donate the 2007 Auction proceeds to: The National Council for Sexual Freedom, God’s Love We Deliver, Ali Forney Center, Leather Archives & Museum, and as is customary, an annual donation to Heritage of Pride, the producer of New York’s annual Pride March.

As an educator, people ask me stuff all the time. Like, “How long can I keep someone tied up?” The answer to this and to 80% of all other question is “It depends.”
