I’m tired. That’s because I couldn’t sleep last night. I was just too excited about my first day at my new job today. This is a huge change for me. My own little company will continue on the side. It will be interesting to see what new opportunities this may present. And, oh, BTW they have a blogging policy, which is pretty cool.

The 2nd Avenue Deli is reopening at 33rd Street and 3rd Avenue. It will be open 24/7. Yum yum!

My hot date for the weekend has been delayed by snow. Hopefully she will make it to NYC on Saturday. We are planning to go to both the LSM Holiday Party and the TES Party benefiting NCSF.

I loathe shaking hands. Sometimes it can’t be avoided, like when I am dealing with a customer or at an interview. In those instances I bite the bullet and do it. But I really hate it. Hands are germy. People sneeze in them and cough in them and wipe their noses and they touch used tissues, etc. Not everybody washes their hands regularly. A lot of people don’t wash their hands after using the bathroom. And check out this other stat in that article: almost three-quarters of people say they wash hands after changing a diaper. That means that more than one in four do not. Yuck!

Whenever I go see my doctor, he shakes my hand and that always really bothers me. He is surrounded by sick people and shaking everybody’s hands and touching god knows what else. Does he wash his hands constantly? I have never seen him actually wash his hands. But I always shake his hand because it would be rude to rebuff his outstretched hand. When I took my friend to the hospital and we were in pre-surgery, the doctor and the anesthesiologist both shook my hand. Ugh! It’s a great way to spread germs. I hightailed it outta there and washed my hands right away.

Do I sound like a germaphobe? Maybe. But don’t get mad at me if we meet and I don’t want to shake your hand. I will leave you hanging. Especially now, in cold and flu season. You’ve been warned.

I am thinking of painting my kitchen pink, but now I am not so sure. Or is Betsy Johnson’s kitchen just the wrong shade of pink? Hmmmm.

Sensory deprivation meets fine dining. I think I would like this.

I never hooked up at an airport. Probably because I am always reading while I wait. I have, however, hooked up on a plane.

Once again, Hilton is collecting toys for tots. Unfortunately there are many kids who have lost parents, have no parents and or who are less fortunate than others. So he and his staff are collecting unwrapped toys. Or if you prefer, drop off some money, and sometime around the December 17th Dec Hilton will go to the wholesale toy shops in Manhattan and get a bunch of toys. He usually asks for toys for older kids, say 8 thru 14 as that’s the age most kids are the neediest. Donations and toys can be dropped off at Purple Passion, 211 West 20th Street, New York.

Tonight I was Lolita Claus for the TES Holiday Potluck Social. I had everything all prepared to go, but in my rush to leave the house, I left my potluck dish in the fridge. Doh! But there was lots of good food even without my dish. I am so grateful to the Operations and Social committees for all the work they did tonight and all through the whole year – especially Mike S. and August.

The grab bag had a lot of neat gifts. I lucked out this year and got a Gift Card to Barnes & Noble – Yay! The gift I put in was a section of vet wrap which was grabbed by Jocasta, who loved the wrapping as much as the gift inside. I was happy to see that my gift went to a bondage aficionado who will enjoy playing with it.

I also got a chance to hang out a while with my old buddy Jay Wiseman (author of SM 101: A Realistic Introduction and Jay Wiseman’s Erotic Bondage Handbook). I also made a new rule at TES: No talking with your mouth full. Everybody liked that rule. Only disappointment was that I did not get my dick sucked this year. But I made Boymeat kiss it.
