Tuesday was my birthday and I spent it perfectly. At home alone, just puttering around. And screening my calls.
The fact that I was alone on my birthday worried a few people at first, like it was a bad thing. It’s not. It was how I wanted to spend it. There’s plenty of raucous partying to be done all the rest of the week. My friend, Teresa, is arriving tomorrow and we have big plans including:
Wednesday: TES Bondage SIG with Michael Horowitz teaching Mummification
Thursday: the first gathering of the NYC Pleasure Positive Salon at Marion’s Restaurant
Friday: my birthday dinner with friends
Saturday: a birthday burlesque party for another friend of mine
Sunday: a fabulous Oscar party
Monday: tickets to a Broadway show
Best greeting so far: Don Quixote sent me a hot porn pic of himself!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with spending your birthday alone. I do it all of the time and would have it no other way.
Now, the fact that your birthday coincided with Fat Tuesday this year might make it a little bit of a tragedy, but only if you were in New Orleans.
Regardless, happy birthday and I hope that your continued celebrations are everything you hope and more!
