New Year’s is coming and I have big plans to party. I want to start on Friday night and go to the TES Old Year’s party. There’s a couple of people to whom I owe scenes and that would be fun.

I have close friends who are hosting a nontraditional New Year’s party that begins on Saturday night with a sex party and then evolves into a non-ball-dropping New Year’s Eve on Sunday where we don’t watch the time. The New Year will just happen. No frenzy. But twice now my hosts have asked for the email and name of my “friend.” I ignored the first request. After the second request, I told them that I had no idea to whom they were referring.

I got no date. Not looking for a date. I am single. I am really liking being single. I have friends, play partners, schnuggle mates and fuck buddies. I am experiencing intimacy and fun and I am getting all my needs met.

I guess I should be grateful that my hosts are so open to me bringing someone whom they do not know to such a little intimate gathering. But it also stirred those traditional feelings of needing a date for New Year’s and I really want to get past any need for scrambling for a New Year’s date. I’ve decided that I would be more comfortable and happy being single on New Year’s.
