No Coke… Pepsi!
October 24th, 2008 · No Comments
I took an extra day when I was in Chicago. AJ and I went to the Navy Pier and we had gorgeous weather.

Their ferris wheel is nowhere near as good as Coney Island’s Wonder Wheel.
We only got to go around once!

This place was immortalized on Saturday Night Live by John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd.
Cheezborger, cheezborger! No fries, chips!
I can’t find the clip, but here’s the real thing.

Tying 705
October 23rd, 2008 · No Comments
I am always learning rope bondage. The things I can learn seem endless. But the more I do it, the better I become. I love tying slave 705. He can get out of my ropes. Like an eel, he will squirm and untie himself. I always watch him and learn where my weak points are. He will also give me pointers. “Sir, if you tied that rope lower on the arm, it would be more escape-proof.” Playing with an experienced bottom is a treat. I have no ego problems learning from a bottom.
Saturday night I tied him again. I used the techniques I learned from him, added a idea that I learned from David Lawrence, another from Tony Buff, yet another from Midori and I was done. I sat and leaned back on a bench and said, “Okay, now try to get out of that.”
He worked his wrists first. But I had tied them well and after 5 minutes of struggling, he shifted his focus elsewhere. Nothing was budging. And then he began on a knot on his chest. He moved to a chain wall and rubbed and rubbed. He was making progress, but I also figured that he would not be able to get far if he got that one untied.
He finally moved on to the safety line and started to untie that but he stopped before he came even close to getting it untied. I think it strained his neck. He was defeated. It was the first time I had tied him up where he couldn’t get loose. I was quite pleased.
Thank you, Julia, for allowing me to borrow your slave.

Shake Shack on the Upper West Side
October 22nd, 2008 · No Comments

I have never been to the original Shake Shack because of the humongous lines, but now we’ve got one here on the Upper West Side at 77th and Columbus. After a minimal wait, I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a lemonade. The patties are 4oz so I limited myself to a single. Once you’ve ordered, they give you a little buzzer thing which goes off when your order is ready. Considering that my food was made to order, the wait was reasonable.
My burger was delicious and on a really good bun. The small fries were really exceptional with the right amount of crispiness and a decent portion. The lemonade was just okay and a little too warm for my liking. This place is going to give Big Nick’s a run for the money.
