CASTING THIS SATURDAY FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC ART PROJECT

Barbara Nitke is a fine art photographer, looking for young polysexual male, female and trans actors for her next art project and fashion portfolio.

Age range – 19-25

The project will consist of a series of vignettes performed by a revolving cast of pan/bi/kinky/queer people. There will be very little explicit sex
or SM, which is a departure from most of my previous work. Nudity is permissible but not required. Each person cast will set their own
boundaries and limits.

She’ll be casting this Saturday December 1 from 12 noon to 5pm in mid Manhattan, and plan to begin shooting this month. There’s no pay for the casting session (a half hour at the most), but she will pay an honorarium of $30 per day for shoot days, plus a full CD of the digital files for all images she shoots of you. She tends to shoot a lot, so you’ll have loads of photos!

I am really bothered that a group of people had a Strategy/Interest meeting about LSM policy. I think discussing this policy is valid. I think I even agree that the policy should be changed. What really irks me is that I am an LSM member and I was not invited to this meeting. It seems secretive and I feel it is creating an Us vs. Them situation, and by leaving me out, it is being assumed that I am a Them.

A while back, I requested that LSM have a program with a panel of transfolk to discuss this issue and more. I want to learn more about it. And I would like LSM to have its discussions out in the open.

I was fresh out of the shower and came back into the bedroom just in time to see a big queen size mattress being navigated into the room. And it needed quite a bit of navigation. There are five steep steps into the bedroom and the mattress had to turn a tight corner. A really tight turn that had to miss the shelves with various breakable knickknacks and books and it definitely had to miss the altar.

She was already dressed and was helping them steer the mattress onto the box spring. I watched from across the room. There was no sense in my climbing over and trying to help. I would have just been in the way. So, I watched. She’s petite, but very strong. She tried to get a grip on the mattress and grabbed the tag by mistake. Rrriiiip!

“I can’t believe you just did that,” I said.
She looked over at me and was too shocked to say anything. She knew I was talking about the mattress tag.
“It’s like a federal offense,” I added.
She looked at me, blinked, but still did not say anything.

By then, the mattress was situated properly.
“I’m going to have to punish you.”

I bent her over the new mattress and thwacked her hard with the cane.
“No warm-up, because this is punishment.”
I thought it was pretty hot.

She told me later that she doesn’t do punishment, “But I did enjoy that little scenario.”
“That’s because it wasn’t real punishment. It was just an excuse for some play.”

As a compliment to the Modified Eros show at Arena Studios, Lolita Wolf will be teaching a hands-on workshop about play piercing at the gallery on Wednesday, November 28th at 7 pm. It’s two hours long and costs $25.

How To Play With Needles
When thinking of needles, most people remember of going to the doctor and getting shots. Ick! The last thing that they want to do is play with needles. But once one gets over that fear, playing with needles can be a lot of fun. Play piercing can give you a big endorphin rush. Endorphins are those sensations that your body makes to give you a natural high. Long distance runners experience a runner’s high that is very similar. Needles can leave you a different sort of breathless.

In this class you will learn about tools, supplies, safety, technique, preparation and aftercare. Wanna try needles? We’ll have a hands-on portion for bottoms, tops and switches. Bring a partner, or come alone and we will match people up. Let’s enjoy the endorphins together!
