On Saturday evening, we went to Sidecar in South Park Slope, Brooklyn. It was oh so totally yummy and I would definitely go back. I loved the menu because it was a small list and then I know that the kitchen won’t be overwhelmed. I hate big menus!
There were nine of us, so we split several small plates for the table: Chicken Liver Pate on Crostini to die for, a salt cod Brandade spread, Bean Dip with bacon, and a special of Gravlax. Seven of us ordered the Fried Chicken which was to die for. I don’t usually order fried chicken unless it is really good (crispy and moist) and I would definitely order it again. It was served with kale with bacon and mashed roots, both perfectly prepared. Totally delicious. Two others ordered the sidecar sandwich and I had a bite of that and it was also worthy of praise. We finished off the evening splitting chocolate pudding and apple cobbler. Excellent! I would go back.
We waited on the patio for our table.
