Leather Pride Night NYC will be presenting a special event: The Leather Valentine Market on Sunday, February 12th, 2012.  This afternoon of fun, frolic and bargains will be at the Eagle NYC , 554 West 28th Street, (between 10th & 11th Avenue), NYC.

The Leather Valentine Market is a sale of gently used leather and fetish items, including clothing, boots, s/m items, videos, magazines. The event will include a bootblack, a spanking booth and a raffle featuring a grand prize of a portable sling donated by New York’s premier leather store, The LeatherMan NYC. New York nightlife icon, Will Clark, will keep the action going as host of the event. This event will be an opportunity to snag post-Christmas bargains before Valentine’s Day and the upcoming Black Party.

The doors will open for the event at 3:00PM and run until 6:00 PM in time for the Eagle’s regularly scheduled Sunday Beer Blast. Liquor, beer, wine and soft drinks will be provided at a cash bar. Admission is limited to 21 years or over. Entry is free and open to the public.

The Leather Pride Night Committee is dedicated to promoting freedom of sexual self-expression, and actively works to improve the image and understanding of S/m and fetish lifestyles.  It meets on the first Thursday of the month (October through June) at 8:00PM at the LGBT Center, 208 West 13th Street. Saturday night 9pm to 3am is more open play plus a Spanking Workshop at 10pm taught by me followed by the annual Strip Tease/Lap Dancing fundraiser for the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom which starts at Midnight (please bring cash to tip our dancers – the tips go to NCSF). Anyone can dance in the NCSF Extravaganza – just bring your music on CD or I Pod.

Sunday is more open play from 1pm until 8pm. There will be a potluck brunch (bring a dish to share) followed by a workshop at 3pm on Breaking Skin: Decorating the Body with me. There are so many pretty things we can do! Demos will include making designs with needles and staples, attaching beads and other pretty adornments, making string patterns, making corsets and more.

$75 for the weekend, $30 per day/night. Please bring something to share for our food table. A limited number of work exchange positions are available. Parking is available for only $5 per car per night in the attached parking garage if you arrive between 9pm – 10:30pm on Fri and Sat nights and between 1pm and 3:30pm on Sunday. Street Parking is always available in the neighborhood but please take normal street parking precautions and secure your belongings.

Overnight accommodations are available for $10 – $20 per person per night (sliding scale) – please bring your own towels and sheets – there are lots of pillows and blankets.

I know that the Littles Contest was conceived as a parody, just for fun. And it is fun. And I entered to have fun with it. In my 20+ years in the scene, I had never run for a title before, but this contest just called out to me. It was so perfect for me. I wanted to win this.

Being the first has the advantage of there not being any precedent. I was able to do what I wanted with the title. I took my sash with me everywhere on every trip and always tried to work the title in at some point.

I taught age play classes at Dark Odyssey Winter Fire, TES Fest, Thunder in the Mountains and Floating World

I wore my sash at other contests with the other titleholders: the International Mater/slave Contest, International Ms Leather, Great Plains Olympus Leather and the Dark Odyssey Dirty Pig Contest

I was also visible at other events with my sash: Leather Pride Night, Folsom Street East and Fet Fest. I even got to be one of the judges at the Dark Odyssey Littles Contest!

My favorite event of all was hosting the Littles Party at IMsL. I was able to create a safe, fun space where several people (who will remain nameless) were able to explore their little personas for the first time. There were also littles who had never met other littles before! It was a very empowering event for many of the attendees. I could not have done it without the help of my leather family. Thank you.

I especially would like to thank my Daddy Nay who always treats me like a Princess. It was also a growth year for him as his balloon sculpting skills have vastly improved.

Before I found the Scene, the only place I really heard about bondage was in the newspapers when somebody died. I was strangely attracted to the bondage, but conversely, I was repelled by the death.
