Q.  What is the best way to store lots of dildos and vibrators of various sizes in limited space? I am trying to figure out if there is a sort of card catalogue thingie so I can put them all in a drawer? Help! 🙂

A.  First of all, go through your collection and decide if you need all of them. Definitely get rid of any smelly jelly toys. Many of these contain phthalates which are dangerous. You want a “quality not quantity” collection.

I like to keep my clean dildos in separate baggies. It seems that all my dildos act like dust magnets and it is best to bag them. One baggie per toy is a good idea also because some toys tend to melt together or stain each other. I make sure that the toy is completely dry before putting it in the baggie. I like that baggies are clear so I can easily identify what is in each bag.

I also put my vibrators in baggies. If they use batteries and I don’t use the toy regularly, I take the batteries out. Batteries that are not used for a while leak and ruin toys. I always have extra fresh batteries stored in my refrigerator. If a vibe is rechargeable, then I store it together with its recharger. Remember to recharge it before you want to use it. I have been caught in a sling with a dead vibe and that’s not fun – well, it just not as fun as it could have been.

I keep my favorite most often used sex toys in or on a night table by my bed. The rest I keep in a dresser drawer that has some Drawer Dividers
to make it a bit easier to sort. I do not keep them in one of those sex toy storage cases. That is too unwieldy for me. I do have  a small one that I love, but I only use it to pack toys for a play party.

If you don’t like the idea of a dresser drawer, shoe storage solutions like a Ten-Pocket Canvas Hanging Shoe Bag or an Underbed Shoe Organizer might work for you.

Of course if you have kids, lock them all away in a big cedar chest. Hey!  I meant the toys, not the kids!

As a sex toy reviewer I have been beginning to consider this topic myself. Thanks!
